What is Ayurveda?

 Ayurveda is based on the ancient wisdom of good living. The word Ayurveda is formed from the root words of Ayu =  Life; Veda = Science (or the way). Thus, Ayurveda is defined as “the Science of life” 

 What can Ayurveda do for me? 

 An Ayurvedic health cure is a preventive measure for the preservation of durable health up to old age. It also  cleanses the body and is appropriate for wellbeing during post-convalescence and recuperation form acute or  chronic illness. Conditions successfully treated by Ayurveda include; Diabetes, Stress, Migraine, headaches,  Overweight, Skin problems , High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure, Bronchial Asthma, Arthritis , Sleep Disorders and  illness of the Respiratory Tract, Heart & Circulation, Rheumatism,Acne, Nicotine Addiction etc. Ayurveda gives you a  base to manage your daily life better.

 Do Ayurvedic drugs have side effects? 

 Ayurvedic drugs cause neither side effects nor physical or psychological dependence. This is way Ayurvedic  treatment is termed shuddhachikitsa - ‘a genuine treatment’.

 What’s the difference between Ayurveda & Western medicine?

 While the Western Medicine only the ayurveda treats the person as a whole, taking in to consideration his/her  activities  and the environment. According to Western Medicine the diagnosis focused mostly on identification of a  disease. In Ayurveda the diagnosis is much deeper.

 How is Ayurveda related to Yoga? 

 Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences and work harmoniously to deliver sound body, pure mind and free spirit.

 How does Ayurvedic pulse analysis work?

 Ayurvedic practitioners feel the radial artery with three fingers to evaluate the balanced and imbalanced conditions of  Vata, Pitta and Kapha in mind and body. This is an important skill that your Ayurvedic practitioner can employ to read  the subtle condition of your bodily Doshas. 

 Can Ayurveda help chronic pain?

 Yes, absolutely. Personalized herbs, specific diet modification and also specialized oils and massages prove very  effective in pain management without side effects. 

 Can Ayurveda help me prevent and chronic diseases?

 Please remember that Ayurveda does not claim to treat, prevent or cure diseases, but only to restore balance to the  physiology. When balance is restored, many diseases and disorders are often automatically prevented or heath is  restored.
